A fair price, around the clock.
Tokenized stocks trade when the stock exchange is shut. Weekend Guard keeps a fair price for every stock at all hours and stops pools trading at prices that make no sense.
What goes wrong when the exchange is shut
- There is no official price from Friday evening to Monday morning.
- A thin pool can be pushed far from any sensible price by one large order.
- One bad print on one venue can drag other venues with it.
- Customers who trade into the spike pay for it, and complain.
Test a price against the band
● Real band settingsFair value $348.10. The allowed band is the session's base width plus the confidence width.
What Fletchery does
A 24/7 fair price and a safe trading band, so nobody pays a glitch price on a Saturday.
Start from the last close
Outside market hours, fair value starts at the last closing price and moves with index futures, scaled by how strongly the stock tracks the market.
Listen to other venues, carefully
Prices from other pools are blended in by depth, but outliers and thin pools are thrown out and no single venue can carry more than 40% of the weight.
Widen with uncertainty
The longer the exchange has been shut, the wider the confidence range. The band is the session's base width plus that range.
Never block a repair
A trade that moves a dislocated pool back toward fair value is always allowed, so arbitrage can fix a bad price instead of being stopped by the guard.
The details
These are the values the Fletchery prototype enforces today.
| Session | Base band | Quote expires after |
|---|---|---|
| Market open | ±3% | 2 minutes |
| Extended hours | ±5% | 5 minutes |
| Overnight | ±7% | 10 minutes |
| Weekend or holiday | ±10% | 30 minutes |
Common questions
What happens if the fair-value feed stops?
Trading in that stock stops. An expired quote is treated as no quote, so pools fail closed instead of trading blind.
Does the guard set prices?
No. Pools still set their own prices. Weekend Guard only refuses trades that would push a pool outside the safe band.
