A record that nobody can edit.
Every quote, route, fill and refusal is written to a chained log and stamped on-chain daily. Anyone holding the log can prove that nothing was changed afterwards.
Why ordinary logs aren't enough
- A database row can be edited, and nobody can tell.
- Regulators and auditors have to trust whoever runs the system.
- Disputes about what happened to an order come down to one side's records.
- An acquirer needs to trust years of history it didn't produce.
Try to tamper with the log
● Real SHA-256 in your browserWhat Fletchery does
Every quote, route and refusal chained together and stamped on-chain daily.
Every event chained
Each entry includes the fingerprint of the one before it. Changing any past entry changes every fingerprint after it.
Stamped on-chain daily
The latest fingerprint is written to a public blockchain each day. From then on, history up to that point is fixed.
Anyone can verify
Recompute the fingerprints from the log and compare with the on-chain stamp. If they match, nothing was changed.
Reports from the same record
Order trails, best-execution summaries and cap reports are built from this log, so reports and evidence never disagree.
The details
These are the values the Fletchery prototype enforces today.
| Part | Detail |
|---|---|
| Entry | Sequence number, time, type (quote, order, fill, refusal, halt), data, previous fingerprint |
| Fingerprint | SHA-256 of the entry in a fixed, sorted format |
| On-chain stamp | Latest fingerprint plus the range of entries it covers; ranges must be continuous |
| Verification | Recompute every fingerprint and compare with the stamp for that range |
Common questions
Does the log go on-chain?
No. Only the fingerprint does, once a day. The log itself stays private with the operator and can be shared with an auditor when needed.
What if an entry was wrong?
It can't be edited. A correction is added as a new entry that refers to the old one, which is how financial records should work.
